Our beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, grandmother, and great-grandmother Jeanette Sand Knuteson, 82, returned to her father in heaven on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024 in her home, surrounded by loved ones after fighting health issues for many years.
Jeanette was born December 20th, 1941 in Cloquet Minnesota to Theodore Sands and Georgia Hennings.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace and her parents, Theodore and Georgia. She is survived by her brother Eugene Sands, son John Rees, daughter Sabrina Lowe (Mark), 2 grandchildren: Jessica (Jacob) and Brittney (Spencer), and 6 great-grandchildren: Brayton, Capri, Carson, Braxton, Brodie and Chance.
As a child Jeanette was a member of the infamous knot-hole gang. She and her friends would frequently watch the local baseball games through the knot-holes of the wooden fence. The owner noticed them and named them the knot-hole gang and gave them season tickets for the remainder of the season.
Jeanette loved doing anything that involved spending time with her family. Particularly when it involved her grandchildren. Other things she enjoyed include: gardening, painting, rock hounding, laundry, cooking, sewing and music. She had a MASSIVE collection of records and CD’s.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. located at the Spanish Fork Cemetery, 420 South 400 East. Family and friends may attend a viewing/visitation prior to the graveside from 1:00-2:00 p.m. located at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, UT.
