Vance LaMar Marshall May 16, 1942 - May 4, 2024

Vance LaMar Marshall, 81, of Salem, Utah passed away in the comfort of his home next to his loving wife after an extended illness on May 4th, 2024, Vance was born in Santaquin, Utah to Glen Carter Marshall and Minnie Walkington Marshall on May 16th, 1942. His best friend John Deuel shared the same exact birthday. Vance was the youngest of six children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Minnie Marshall, his three brothers and their spouses, William and Betty and Iona Marshall, Bob and Mary Jo Marshall, Burell and Jean Marshall, his sister Elaine Barker, and stepdaughter Kallie Cook.

He is survived by his loving wife Lila Marshall, his five children Lisa Lewis, Chris (Jeff) Hiatt, Brad Marshall, Daina Marshall, Amanda (Kurtis) Judson, step-children Yancey (Leroy) Valenzuela, Shannie Cook, and Mindy (Scott) Allen, and his brother Rex (Carol) Marshall. Vance worked and retired from the Kiegley Quarry in Genola after twenty-five successful years. After retirement he decided to work for The Fairfield Inn and Motel 6 in their maintenance departments.

Vance loved any time spent with family and friends celebrating holidays, birthdays, or even just a quick hello. He is a grandfather of fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, and nine step-great-grandchildren with one more on the way. Vance also had passions for camping, hunting, exploring new sights, and being outdoors spending quality time.

Vance will be greatly missed by family and friends. God be with you until we meet again my love. We love you Dad and Grandpa.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 10th, 2024, at Walker Funeral Home located at 587 South 100 West in Payson, Utah. Prior to the funeral service, a viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in Santaquin Cemetery, 100 East 300 South, Santaquin, Utah.
