Mark Eric Greenwood December 7, 1977 - May 4, 2024

It is with broken hearts that we share the news of the passing of our dear son, Mark Eric Greenwood, on May 4, 2024.

Mark had such a kind heart and was always first to help on anyone’s project. He could build anything! In high school, he took first place in the VICA competition and then went on to the state competition and took first place there too. He went to Kansas City to represent Utah in the Skills USA competition and took third place. Mark graduated from Alta High School with a 3.59 GPA.

Mark worked from an early age in the family construction business with his brothers and dad. He later did concrete structural framing and built bridges, parking structures, and other projects.

Mark loved the outdoors; camping, fishing, hunting, and four-wheeling. He was a NASCAR enthusiast too! Mark had the ability to make friends with almost everyone he met. He leaves behind a lot of great friends and cherished family.

Mark was born on December 7, 1977, to Eldon and Karen Greenwood. He is survived by his parents, his brothers, Chad (Janee), Mike (Hollie), Ryan (Stephanie), Brett (JoLynn), and Jesse Greenwood. He was preceded in death by his only sister Lindsay and her husband Steven Eatchel in 2022, his nephew Daxton Greenwood, and all his grandparents.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024,  at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 50 North Main Street in Genola, Utah. A graveside service will follow at Genola Cemetery, 80 West 800 South, Genola, Utah.

Rest in peace “”WOOD BUTCHER”” that was the nickname my dad gave that guy and it always impressed me how he could split a 2×4 with a skillsaw long ways and smoke at the same time. Great times around the fire pit. I’m going to miss coming over and talking to you. Eldon or Karen if you guys need anything let me know. Mark I will always remember you
