Beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and friend, Robert “Bob” Palfreyman, left us for his next adventure on October 29, 2021, of acute kidney failure at the age of 85, surrounded by his loving family.
Robert was born October 20, 1936, in Springville, Utah, to Eugene R and Nola Palfreyman, the 2nd of 7 children. He spent his formative years in Springville, and his later years in Salem. He graduated from Springville High School in 1954.
He worked at Geneva Steel, was a truck driver, a rodeo clown, and then found his true passion as a bonded land and livestock dealer, raising sheep and cattle. He loved supporting the youth with their 4H and FFA projects, over the years. He also was a home builder and flipped many homes. For the last 19 years, he ran a Harward Farms corn and produce stand with his wife, Barbara, in Spanish Fork, making many lifelong friends along the way.
Robert made friends everywhere he went, could strike up a conversation with anyone, always providing generosity and time to others, and lending a helping hand. He had a love of travel, seeing new places, and most of all spending time with loved ones. On any given day, you could find him at the coffee shop or at the livestock auction, visiting with friends.
Our father was honored to have been married to four wonderful women: Diane Argyle, Susan Gordon Palfreyman, Colleen Grimmett Palfreyman, and Barbara Lewis Palfreyman. He had nine children: Shanna Rae Burgener (Glen), Kim Bond (Eugene), Tami Ferran (Horace), Shane Palfreyman, Michael Palfreyman (Julie), Clay Palfreyman (Pam), Valerie Tregeagle, Keri Beardall, and Tara Allred.
Robert is survived by his sweetheart, Barbara; his 9 children, 21 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren (with 2 more on the way), 5 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother: Noleen Boulter, Gina Harness (Ed), Ann Weight, and Derk Palfreyman (Karen). Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clark Palfreyman; sister-in-law, Aldeen Palfreyman; sister, Sherry Killpack; and two grandsons, Jeffrey Burgener and Tracy Palfreyman.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning, November 4, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the High Chaparral building, Spanish Fork Fairgrounds, 475 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660. Viewing will be Wednesday evening, November 3, 2021, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Springville, Utah 84663.
