Allyn R. Walker

Allyn R. Walker

Allyn was named after his father, Lynn R. Walker, who was the first funeral director in the Walker family and started Walker Funeral Home in Spanish Fork in 1953.  Allyn was raised in Spanish Fork and graduated from Spanish Fork High School.  He attended Utah State University and then served an LDS Mission in Korea.  Upon returning from his mission, he attended Brigham Young University.  He married his high school sweetheart, Marsha Huff, and together they moved to Orange, California to attend Mortuary College.  He graduated with scholastic honors and received the Melvin D. Hilgenfeld award for outstanding student in funeral directing.

He and his wife returned from California and managed the Walker Funeral Home in Payson for 12 years.  They moved back to Spanish Fork and have been serving the people of Spanish Fork and Payson for over 20 years.  Allyn has enjoyed his lifelong choice of serving as a funeral director.

Allyn and Marsha have two sons and two daughters, Brad, Amy, Adam, and Andelyn.  All of the children grew up living in the funeral home and have developed a great appreciation for serving the people of the community.   Serving others has become a family passion and a way of life.
