On June 7th, 2022, our baby, Zuri Legend Mondestin, passed away at Primary Children’s Hospital in the arms of his parents, Mckynlee Callister and Sted Mondestin, from complications due to bacterial meningitis.
Zuri came into this world on September 15th, 2021 in Provo Utah, fighting, at just over 3 pounds, but quickly grew into a strong, healthy, beautiful boy.
Zuri brought so much joy into all of our lives. His big, beautiful eyes, curly hair and dimples, could melt anyone’s heart who saw him. He was the best natured baby, his sweetness and personality were as much as any parent could hope for.
Though his little life was brief, it was very special, and made a huge impact in all of our lives. His sweet demeanor and giggle will be missed by all. And though he leaves behind a huge void in all the lives he touched, his memory will live on with us forever. We know he will always be an angel watching over us, especially to his Mommy and Daddy, and will continue to impact their lives in a positive way.
Zuri is survived by his loving parents, Mckynlee Callister and Sted Mondestin, grandparents Cassie (Lybbert) Callister, Devin and Kehley Callister, and Mireille Arthur, and many more great-grandparents, great-great-grandparents, cousins, uncles, aunts, and family who all loved and adored him.
Viewing for Zuri will be Tuesday June 14, 2022 from 11am-12pm at Walker Funeral Home located at 187 South Main Street in Spanish Fork, UT. Followed by a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. at the Provo City Cemetery located at 610 South State Street in Provo, Utah.
