Zane Scott Steeley March 17, 1961 - August 17, 2026

Zane Scott Steeley, beloved husband, stepfather, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026, in Springville, Utah. He was born on March 17, 1961, in Long Beach, California, to Fred Ray and Sandra June Oates Steeley.

Zane earned his GED in 1982 through the Oregon Department of Education. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he served as a tank driver. After his military service, Zane worked as a truck driver, a profession that suited his love of travel and being on the road.

Zane had a curious mind and enjoyed learning about the world around him. When he was younger, he especially enjoyed studying wars and western history, and throughout his life he remained interested in historical events. He loved traveling and discovering new places and stories along the way. Most of all, Zane enjoyed spending time visiting with family and sharing conversations and memories with those he loved.

He also had a few simple pleasures that brought him great enjoyment. One of his favorites was his lifetime free-refill cup from McDonald’s—a small thing that became a memorable part of who he was.

Zane married Linda Diane Korslund on December 22, 1988, in Franklin, Washington. Together they shared many years of life and memories.

Zane will be deeply missed by his step-sons, Jerry (Sabrina) Manning and Mike Manning; and his grandchildren, Aurora, Neveah, Anha, and Elijah, who loved their grandfather very much. He is also survived by his siblings, Rod (Marcella) Steeley, Tony (Donna) Steeley, Regina (Alfredo) Cruz, Brenda (John) Kinsfather, Carolina (Kevin) Seibel, and Clifford Steeley; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will remember him fondly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Ray and Sandra June Oates Steeley; his wife, Linda Diane Steeley; and his sisters, Angela ReNae Steeley and Robin Hayes.

Zane leaves behind a lifetime of memories, stories, and moments shared with the people who meant the most to him. His love of history, travel, family, and the simple pleasures of life will remain part of the memories he leaves behind. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be held in Zane’s honor on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. located at the Utah Veteran’s Cemetery and Memorial Park located at 17111 South Camp Williams Road in Bluffdale, Utah.
