Zandon R. Draper returned home to his Heavenly Father Saturday January 18, 2025. A beloved son, grandson, brother, cousin, and friend. Zandon was a determined person that focused on the task at hand and accomplished anything he put his mind to and to be the best at everything he did; he would not quit until he achieved it.
His passion in life was being in the arena, whether it was breaking colts, bucking steers out, competing in his rodeo events; team roping and tie down roping, riding horses with cousins and most of all roping with his grandpas and friends. Zandon was a team member of the Payson High School wrestling team, where he excelled and wrestled for the state championship in 2024.
Zandon loved to pester, harass, and torment anyone he came in contact with, especially his mom. Zandon’s smile and kindness was contagious to others. Zandon always made it a point to accept people and make them feel included. He was very quick witted and loved to argue with anyone willing, just to keep them on their toes.
Zandon is a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His Christ-like example and strong testimony was noticed by many and strengthened the testimony of others.
Zandon is survived by his parents, Shane and Shawnee, brother Dexton, sister Skylee, grandparents Lee and Debbie Draper (Genola, Utah), Ron and Julene Bowen (Oakley, Utah) along with many adopted grandparents, uncle, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his aunt Melanie Bowen.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 50 North Main Street in Genola, Utah. Visitation will be prior from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. There will also be a Celebration of Zandon’s life on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in Genola Cemetery, 74 West 800 South, Genola, Utah.
