Yvonne Rose Burningham Funeral Service

Yvonne Rose Burningham, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023 in Eagle Mountain, Utah. She was born on February 10th, 1959 in Downey, Idaho; the first of ten to Norman Henry and Velva Lee Allen Rose.

Yvonne was raised in Tremonton, Utah on a dairy farm where she, as the oldest, helped raise her mother’s other 9 children. She graduated from Bear River High School in 1977. Soon after graduating, she attended LDS Business College and began working for an Ear, Nose, and Throat Physician’s office. It was the fall of 1979 when Rick and Yvonne met at a University of Utah Institute student ward. They had their first date at a fireside featuring the apostle Marvin J. Ashton. Rick and Yvonne were married on April 25th, 1980 in the Logan, Utah Temple.

They began their married life in the Salt Lake City Avenues where their first child Karen was born in 1983. A period of several moves followed which found them in Vernal and Delta, Utah.  During this time, Kirk was added to the family. In 1987 they left for California to find work where they planted roots and welcomed three more beautiful daughters Kristine, Kathryn, and Kamilla.

Yvonne spent her days taking care of her husband and raising their family. She was dedicated in refining her children’s talents in fine arts such as art, flute, violin, dance and fostering their great accomplishments. Once her youngest was in school, Yvonne decided to go back and pursue her education at Modesto Junior College. She was accepted into the nursing program at Delta College and graduated in June of 2010.

She loved to serve others in many capacities both professionally and in various church callings. Later she found happiness as a life coach, and most recently as a service missionary with her husband for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved reading, exercising, and walking with her sweetheart. Yvonne was happiest when she was with family, especially her grandchildren, and prioritized attending the temple. She was looking forward to retirement and relocating to her native state of Utah. She was instrumental in selecting the location of their dream home which ended up being in Payson, Utah. She will be interred near the location of their new home which will be completed in her honor.

She is survived by her husband Ricky Tod Burningham; Children: Karen (Gary) Rogers, Kirk (Cathy) Burningham, Kristine (Brian) Dimter, Kathryn (Scott) Peterson, Kamilla Burningham; and eight grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held in the Eagle’s Gate 2nd Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 3793 East Rose Hearty Lane, Eagle Mountain, Utah. Services will be at 11 am on Friday, October 13th, 2023. A viewing will be available at 9 am. The service will be broadcast live. Interment will be in Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, Payson, Utah.
