Xander Craig Brown, our loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend returned home to his loving Heavenly Father on September 14th, 2020, in Salem, Utah. Xander was born to Marci and Kelly Brown on March 3rd, 2004, in Provo, Utah. He is the 2nd of four children: Mason, Gavin, and McCartney. In his family, Xander was always the peacemaker and the first to offer help to anyone that needed him.
Xander was a junior at Salem Hills High School and had also attended Park Elementary, Foothills Elementary, and Salem Junior High. Xander was an exemplary student, taking many honors classes and also serving as a Peer Tutor in the Options Unit at Salem Jr High for 4 semesters. Xander had a unique way of making you feel loved and accepted.
Xander was an Expert Marksman, competing in trapshooting as a member of the Skyline X Shooting Team where he received his letter in Trapshooting, Most Improved Junior Varsity Award, NRA Distinguished Expert Award, along with many other awards and recognitions.
Xander had many hobbies including basketball, hunting, Anime, and playing video games. He was an especially talented artist and loved sketching characters from his favorite Anime, Naruto. He also loved going to concerts, especially ones that involved head banging.
Xander was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as president of the Deacons and Teachers Quorums. His leaders always knew that they could call on him whenever they needed anything done, whether it was giving the lesson, speaking in Sacrament, or providing the Sacrament bread.
Xander was preceded in death by his grandma, Susan Hamilton, and his great-grandparents, who loved him dearly.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020, at 11 a.m. in the Salem Stake Center, 470 East Salem Canal Road. Friends may call upon the family Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork; and, on Saturday, at the church, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. Masks are required at all services.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Keyton Hanks for being an amazing friend to Xander and would like to extend a challenge to anyone wishing to honor him – be a friend. Watch out for others and be kind.

September 17, 2020 at 12:55 amI love you Xander. I always looked up to you. You are an amazing friend and the type of person I can only dream of being. Thank you for being such an example to me. You will always be a part of me. I will miss all the great times we had but always cherish them. “Home is where someone is thinking of you” we always hated that quote but I’ll always be thinking of you. Words can’t explain the type of person you are so I’ll never forget. I love you man rest in peace and always watch over us.
