Winona Lee Crandell passed on to reunite with her beloved John on April 4th, 2023. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
She was full of spirit and opinions as well as compassion. She was always willing to help another out in any way she could. For those of us that knew her well, we were lucky enough to know she often went out of her way to buy items for people when she knew they needed something. She never needed or wanted a thank you. Being anonymous and knowing she had helped was enough for her. She could not stand for anyone, including animals, to go without. This tied in to her love of shopping and visiting with others.
She loved her children and grandchildren full heartedly and always felt blessed by each of them. She enjoyed every moment she got to spend watching them grow and was proud of each one. She was fierce and a force to be reckoned with. She was a mama Bear when needed. She was a listening ear and confidant and a pillar of strength.
She is reunited with her son John the 3rd and her daughter Rebecca. She is survived by her son Mark Crandell (Deanne), Susan Olmstead (Rick), Paul Crandell, Rachel Henry (Ned), James Crandell (Mauri) , and a great number of grandchildren.
Winona will be deeply missed. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and love will live on through the many lives she touched throughout her lifetime.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 681 East 500 North, Payson, Utah. Visitation will be from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Payson City Cemetery.
