Wilma Jean Butler-Allen, born on July 30, 1961, in Payson, Utah to Lamar Butler and Myrna Gasser, passed away on November 1, 2024, in Provo, Utah. She was a beloved figure known for her warm spirit and vibrant personality.
Wilma spent her life cherishing moments with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. She had a passion for watching movies, rock collecting, engaging in various crafts, camping, and fishing, often sharing these interests with her loved ones. A proud hippy, Wilma connected with everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression on those around her.
In November 1981, she married Benny Allen, and together they raised a loving family. Wilma is survived by her children, Travis (Harlee) Butler, Ashley (Misti) Allen, Rusty (Vanessa) Allen, Benny (Ashley) Allen, Tausha (Doug) Garlick, and Levi Allen. She also leaves behind 21 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, her sisters Janet (JR) Johnson, Cindy Loose, and her brother, Paul Butler. She is proceeded in death by her husband Benny Allen, son Jason Allen, daughter Kandie Allen, both parents, sister Glenda Hansen, brothers Kevin and Randy Butler, and grandparents.
Wilma’s life was characterized by her unwavering support for family and friends, always striving to show up for those in need. Her love for music, particularly artists like Struggle Jennings and Jelly Roll, reflected her free spirit and zest for life. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ 902 W 400 N Payson, Utah
Graveside services will be held in Vernal, Utah, at a later date.
