Wilbur Romerill Brooks, 93, of Spanish Fork Utah, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022. Wilbur was born on March 10, 1929 to Wilford W. Brooks and Irva Romerill in Los Angeles California. He was married to Lillian R. Nelson on October 24, 1967 in Henderson, Nevada.
Wilbur was a man who prioritized providing for his family. He always worked hard and was successful in business. Along with his wife Lillian, Wilbur LOVED ANIMALS—over their lives together they always had numerous dogs and cats. Then at various times they also had rabbits, turtles, birds, hamsters, and other assorted critters.
Wilbur was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In his later years he loved to read religious books and watch devotionals and conference talks.
Wilbur is survived by 8 children: Mark Brooks, Vicky Durham (Michael), Marty Butts (Ramona), Sue Wilson (Steve), Peter Brooks (Charles), Annie Brooks, Clayton Brooks (Touch), and Matt Brooks (Melissa). He also leaves behind 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spanish Peak Ward Chapel, 1552 East 750 South, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call at the church prior to services from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
