Wanda Marie Peterson Lowe Wing, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and service. Born on March 19, 1933, in Spanish Fork, Utah, Wanda was the cherished daughter of Wilford and Edith Willoughby Peterson.
Wanda married Dean Lowe, and together they were sealed in the LDS Manti Temple. They raised four children: Stephen (Donna) Lowe of Spanish Fork, Diana (Jack) Peterson of Lyman, Wyoming, Roger (Teresa) Lowe of Salem, Utah, and Karen (David) Morrell of Spanish Fork. Though their paths later diverged, Wanda continued to nurture her family with unwavering devotion.
She later married Jay Wing, and together they welcomed two more children: Ron (Krissie) Wing of Eagle Mountain, Utah, and Janalee Crosby of Payson, Utah. Wanda’s life was marked by strength and grace through all seasons, including her later divorce from Jay.
Wanda’s work ethic and compassion were evident in her many roles throughout her life. She worked at BYU Deseret Towers, served as a Headstart Teacher in Springville, contributed to Fritzi’s in Spanish Fork, and retired from Rayloc in Payson. Her dedication to helping others and her warm spirit touched countless lives.
She is survived by her sister Della Lowe of Mapleton, five children, 25 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and daughter-in-law Teresa Lowe. Wanda was preceded in death by her son Roger Lowe, granddaughter Alisa Lowe, great-grandson Burton (Bubba) Losee, her parents, and eight siblings.

November 1, 2025 at 2:11 pmIt was my privilege to have worked with Wanda for several years at Rayloc. She was one of the most honest and hardworking woman that I knew. I will forever miss her seven layered bean dip. Heaven is getting a great one.
