Virginia Lee Felt Moore March 30, 1942 - November 14, 2023

In Loving Memory of Virginia Lee Felt Moore

Virginia Lee Felt Moore passed away peacefully from complications of Alzheimer’s, on November 14, 2023. She was born on March 30, 1942, in the old Lehi Utah Hospital. Virginia embraced life with laughter and touched the hearts of those around her.

Growing up in the historic silver mining town of Dividend near Eureka, Virginia’s early years were shaped by the simplicity of small-town living. With a penchant for sharing childhood tales, she vividly depicted life in Dividend, Utah, and later Springville, Utah, where she graduated from high school.

The loving home created by her parents, Thomas Benjamin Felt and Mary Afton White, provided a nurturing environment for Virginia and her siblings – twin brothers, Roger and Rodney, and her sister Afton, affectionately known as Sis.

In her first marriage to Glen Bradford, Virginia was blessed with five children – LeeAnn (Kevin) Scott, Lori (Paul) Barber, Mary Bradford, Melissa (Don) Morrison, and Tom Bradford. Although the marriage ended in divorce, the children would go on to bring 12 beautiful grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren into the world for Virginia to love.

Virginia’s second marriage to Grant Moore brought 31 years of joy and laughter. Together, they crafted cherished memories, embarking on adventures to places like Italy, Alaska, and Hawaii. Their most treasured journey, however, was the Honor Flight to Washington DC, a testament to Grant’s service as a WWII Veteran. They had a combined family of 8 children, 23 grandchildren, and more than 17 great grandchildren.

Graduating from BYU with an Associates Degree in nursing and holding a CCRN certification, Virginia dedicated over 35 years to nursing, with more than two decades spent in the ICU at Mountain View Hospital in Payson, Utah. She retired at the age of 71, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and care that touched the lives of countless patients.

As we bid farewell to Virginia Lee Felt Moore, let us remember her with gratitude for a life well-lived, and for the love she shared at work and in her community. May she rest in eternal peace, free from the burdens that marked the later years of her life.

An intimate graveside service was held on November 18, 2023. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be directed to Mountain View Hospital in Payson, Utah, honoring Virginia’s lifelong dedication to healthcare.

May her memory live on to all who knew and loved her.

Virginia and Grant were long time dear neighbors to my now deceased parents, in Salem. I will always appreciate Virginia’s kind gestures of regularly checking in on my folks during their later years, along with faithfully showing up to give Dad his monthly B-12 injection, or giving Mom a ride to and from church. Virginia’s eagerness to serve with a smile was a tribute to her life.
