Travis had a deep love for animals—especially horses and cats—and was known to many as the “horse whisperer,” with a calm presence that animals instantly trusted.
He found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors, and anything mechanics. He was always ready to lend a hand. He worked hard and helped others right up to his final moments.
One of his greatest joys was riding his Harley. There was nothing he loved more than hitting the open road, feeling the wind and freedom that came with every ride. Fittingly, he was able to take one final ride on his beloved bike shortly before his passing—a moment of peace, pride, and connection to the thing he loved most.
He proudly served in the Army National Guard and earned an associate degree in diesel mechanics. Gifted with a sharp mind and a natural talent for mechanics, he could fix just about anything.
He is survived by his parents Keith and Karla James, sisters Cammi (James)Fruin, Stacy (James) Baca. His 2 children, Jessica (James) Marshall, Kylee Stallings.
We will miss you, brother. We know you’re up there, staying busy and helping out with that same quiet strength, we feel you walking beside us still.
Rest in peace—you’ve earned it.
