Todd Oro Kuchenthal, of Payson, Utah, left his mortal body on August 25, 2021, at home with his beloved family at his side. He fought a valiant battle against Alzheimer’s Disease. He was born in Portland, Oregon, on September 28, 1950, a son of Samuel Dwight Kuchenthal and Marion Shirley Davenport Kuchenthal. He grew up with a brother, David, in the Richmond, California area. Together they raised 6 children: Evonne, Keith, Eric, Shawn, Michael, and Ryan. Todd was an attentive husband, loving and guiding father, and was delighted to be a grandpa.

As a faithful member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints, Todd gave of his time and talents in many church capacities, doing so gratefully and happily.

His hobbies over the years included shooting, prospecting for gold, motorcycling, and he took great joy in watching his children play sports. He enjoyed woodworking, specializing in making furniture. He was a life-long NFL 49’ers football enthusiast, particularly in the Joe Montana era.

He was employed in various industries, as he provided for his family. He owned and operated Toddco Painting of Auburn, California; he also worked as a pipefitter in the Bay area.

Todd is survived by his eternal companion, Renata; his children (and their spouses): Evonne (McNeal) Brown; Keith Sanchez, Eric Sanchez, Shawn Sanchez, Michael (Megan) Kuchenthal, and Ryan Kuchenthal; as well as his six grandchildren; and his brother, David (Janet) Kuchenthal, of Hercules, California. REST IN GOOD PEACE GOOD FRIEND

(MY TRIBUTE TO MY OLDEST AND MOST DEAREST PAL)
My friend Todd Kuchenthal since about 3rd?4th? grade at Belding School in Richmond. We have been entertaining crowds since about 4th or 5th grade (grade school skit with our pal James Thacker), “Grapo Mix, Grapo Mix, new and sparkling drink, young or old, hot or cold, it keeps you in the pink…, and that ain’t allllll….,” Last I heard, Todd lives in the far north of California, or maybe Oregon? because, he always called it “God’s country” and I believe him, because I have lived in Salem, and one of my three sisters lives up in Oregon (she moved from Salem to Rogue River, and now back to Salem), and I have a couple of nieces and a nephew who live in Roseburg, Oregon and beyond.
