As I, Robert Matt, write about my beautiful daughter, Tiffany Marie Matt, I am struck by the profound truth of the words of Mark Twain, “The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.” Tiffany, or “Toe Tappin’ Tiffers,” as she was affectionately known, was the embodiment of a life well-lived. Born in Orem, Utah on the 18th of December 1989, Tiffany was a bundle of joy and energy. Always adventurous, she lived her life to the fullest, embracing every moment with a fearless zest for life. Tiffany, a never married, smart, and loving soul, made West Jordan, Utah her home after living in Payson, Utah, Browning, Montana, and Redding, California.
Tiffany was a diligent and dedicated lab technician in the medical field, her intelligence and commitment shining through in her work. She was always the life of the party; her funny anecdotes and infectious laughter brought out the best (and sometimes the worst) in everybody. However, Tiffany was not just about work and play. She was also a woman of immense depth and compassion. She held a special place in her heart for her dog Bella, her friends, and her nieces and nephew. These relationships, coupled with her love for reading and her adventurous hobbies like river rafting, hiking, paddleboarding, and world travel, painted the colorful mosaic that was her life.
Tiffany was a loving daughter to her mother Nina and me, and a cherished family member to Tyla, Mekayla, and Robert Jr. Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit lives on in our hearts. As a proud father, I am comforted by the words of Dr. Seuss, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” Tiffany’s journey, though cut short on July 7, 2026, was a beautiful adventure brimming with love, laughter, and learning.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Walker Funeral Home located at 587 South 100 West in Payson, Utah. Visitation will be prior from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Browning, Montana.
