Thomas Orin Harward Funeral Service

Thomas Orin Harward, affectionately known as Little Tom or Tommy, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024, in Heber, Utah. Born on October 10, 1940, in Payson, Utah, Little Tom was the youngest of ten siblings, entering the world shortly after the passing of his father, Thomas Orin Harward Sr., leaving his mother, Alma Renee Barney, to raise a large family on her own.

Growing up, Tom showed an indomitable entrepreneurial spirit, embarking on various business endeavors. From farming and selling aluminum siding to owning a farm & feed store and a ski resort, his ventures were as diverse as they were successful. His primary passion lay in real estate, where he made a significant impact as a broker, developer, investor, contractor, and appraiser. His passion for business was instilled in his children, who became self-employed in the real estate industry, continuing his legacy of innovation and hard work.

Tom proudly served in the National Guard and an LDS mission to New York, where he baptized Brad Wagner, forging a friendship that lasted a lifetime.

His personal life was enriched by his marriages to Kathryn Loveland and later to Valerie Pierce, with whom he shared a beautifully blended family. He is survived by his children: Angi (Blake) Bair, Amber (Jason Woodger) Wheeler, Tomi Ann (Wesley Olson) Berg, and Tyler (Anna) Harward, as well as Valerie’s children: George Perry, Allison (Greg) Forcia, Laura Perry, Lisa (Paul) Jenkins, Rachel (Travis) Carpenter, Mick (Shelley) Harward, Jessica Perry, and Adyn Perry. His sister Shirley (Monte) Holt, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also carry forward his vibrant legacy.

Tom had many passions, including hunting, fishing, snow skiing, water skiing, golfing, sports, and boating. His zest for life and adventure were evident in all that he did, leaving a trail of cherished memories and laughter in his wake.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and siblings, Mel, Oranee, Lee, Leland, Nina, Bud, Big Tom, and Ruth, as well as his wife Valerie, her sons Russell Perry and David Bunn, son-in-law Wade Wheeler, and granddaughter Kodi Wheeler. Tom’s absence will be profoundly felt.

Thomas Orin Harward leaves behind a legacy defined by love, perseverance, and a spirit that inspires all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
