Theone “Ted” W. Curtis, 90, peacefully passed away on July 1, 2025, in Payson, Utah. Theone was born to Noel E. and Alta Bernice Ritchie Curtis in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was one of seven children. Ted attended schools in Idaho and later in Orem, Utah.
He married Kathleen Gardner on June 4, 1958, in Spanish Fork, Utah and they were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple on July 1, 1966. They were blessed with seven children: Laura, Jeff, Dale, Alan, Andrea, Mark, and Janel.
Ted served our country in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957, and in the 12th Marine Corps Reserves from 1957 to 1962. He worked hard as a farmer in the West Mountain area for over 60 years.
Ted was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings over the years.
He is survived by his children: Laura Tramell, Jeff (Ranee) Curtis, Dale (Holly) Curtis, Alan (Jane) Curtis, Andrea (Brett) Lloyd, and Mark Curtis; 29 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren; and brother, Bill Curtis. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Kathleen, daughter Janel Curtis, and five siblings.
A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025, followed by a funeral service at Walker Funeral Home located at 587 South 100 West in Payson, Utah. Interment with military honors will be in Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, Payson, Utah.
