Taylor Collin Hansen May 8, 1992 - March 27, 2019

Taylor Collin Hansen, cherished son, brother, grandson, and friend passed away Wednesday, March 27th 2019. Taylor throttled into this world on May 8th, 1992 in Fremont, California to Gary Reese and Lorri Ann (Bennett) Hansen. Taylor graduated from Salem Hills High in 2010.

Taylor was a skilled craftsman and excelled in finish-carpentry. It was not uncommon for him to be lost in the aisles of Home Depot in child-like excitement for new tools. In true Taylor fashion, he spent his last few months building and beautifying his parent’s home and businesses. He adored his family, friends, and pets more than anything. Taylor would spend hours holding his niece and listing to the music he loved so much.

Taylor would “Skrrrt” anything with wheels. Especially “Mortarcross”, skateboards, snowmobiles, wake boarding, and snowboarding. His family will always remember the memories and injuries they made together while trying to keep up with him on the trails of Moab and on the cliffs of Lake Powell. He was on a first name basis with the medical providers scattered through the state of Utah.

Taylor perfected his innate ability of loving others while serving a LDS mission to Argentina. He will be remembered for his remarkable capacity to put others first, even while privately fighting his own feelings of depression and anxiety. Taylor continued to serve others while trying to never burden anyone else.

Taylor is survived by his parents, Gary and Lorri; siblings, Darrick Hansen, Kelsi (Chris) & Eagen Hadlock, Jordan Hansen, Colter Hansen, and Brayden Lauder; grandparents, Gary and Valena Hansen of Salem, Utah; Tom Bennett of Gallup, New Mexico; and Margaret Dravage of Farmington, New Mexico, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

To those of you who are struggling alone, PLEASE reach out. End the perpetuating spiral of your struggles and self-destructive thoughts by asking for help. The burden you imagine yourself to be will never be as hard to bear as the hole left in the hearts of those who love you.
