On November 7, 2023, Tara Ann Lambourne (43 years old) passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family after a brief battle with cancer. Tara was born on February 23, 1980 in Provo, Utah. She is a remarkable woman who radiates joy and love to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Tara’s life was abundant with cherished moments, her most valiant achievement being a devoted wife and mother. Her love story with Todd Lambourne began on December 28, 2004, and together they created a beautiful family, instilling their values of unity, love, and courage in their three children, Tennley (15), Tyker (11), and Trey (10).

Tara is a woman of many talents. She was a caring medical assistant, showcasing her thoughtful nature every day through her work in healthcare. Tara loves crafting and baking and especially supporting her children in softball and baseball. Tara enjoyed cruises with family and friends, watching and quoting phrases from movies, and cheering for the Atlanta Braves. Her life is a testament to her faith in Jesus Christ as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served as a leader in the Young Women, Relief Society, and Primary organizations.

Tara’s life is a reflection of the scripture, “Charity never faileth,” (1 Corinthians 13:8) and she embodied this truth in every aspect of her life. Tara’s unwavering love for her family was her driving force. She leaves behind her husband, Todd, and their children, Tennley, Tyker, and Trey; her parents, Linda Parkinson, and Michael J Parkinson and his wife, Karen; and her siblings, Tylyn (Darin) Hintze, Todd (Lisa) Parkinson, and Troy (Stephanie) Parkinson. Tara will forever be remembered in the hearts of all those she touched with her kindness and love.

Tara’s life is a story of love, courage, resilience, and faith. Please share your precious memories and photos of Tara on her memorial page. This news of Tara’s passing came as such a shock to us! I love Tara SO much!! As everyone did that knew her. We worked together in MANY church callings and joked that we were either working together or training each other! Because we kept getting put in the same callings!! We joked how we thought so much alike and ran callings so similarly, that we were just rotating into each other callings! I remember her training me at your house, then not long later we were meeting again so I could train her to take over a calling I had. Working with her was a dream because she did everything with her whole heart!! And she was so joyful and funny to be around! You always left Tara feeling loved and laughing!! I can’t wait to give her a big hug again and thank her for her dear friendship and inspiring example of Christ-like service. Our thoughts and prayers are with Todd and your children at this time. We love you. We are here for you.
We miss you so much already Tara! Whatever calling they give you on the other side of the veil….learn it well….cuz I’m sure you’ll be training me before you know it!! Ha!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Tara is one on my heros. She was a brand new medical assistant, right out of school, and I was a new physician right out of residency. She was so patient with me as we started the journey of the practice of medicine together. She literally helped make me who I am today. Even after she moved on from our office to greater things like starting her family our patients have asked about her and hoped the best. We miss you, Tara. So grateful that Heavenly Father allowed our journeys to cross.

Tara is such a close family friend. Me and my family loved seeing her every new years, and whenever else. When we lived across the street from her, she was the one we went to when we needed help. I was a very anxious kid growing up, and whenever my mom wasn’t home, and I was extra nervous, I would walk across the street to the Lambourne’s house, and Tara would take care of me and I would hang out with Tennley until my mom got home. She was always so nice to me and my family. I could easily see how much she cared about her family. I am really going to miss her. I have faith that, through Heavenly Father, we can see her again, and I am looking forward to it. And Todd, Tennley, Tyker, and Trey, love you guys!

I’m shocked and so sad. Tara is truly one of the most beautiful people I’ve met. I feel so lucky to have known her. Her sense of humor is the first thing that I think of when I think of Tara. I could barely get through meetings with her sometimes because she cracked me up. I love her. I’m so sorry for your family.

I met Tara bavk in 1995 at OHS. I was a foreign exchange student from Denmark and we ended up in Frau Foulgers German class.
I was a bit shy and overwhelmed by the size of the school and the many people in it. But Tara was one of the first ones you welcome me and make me feel at home. With her caring approach and genuine interest in getting to know me.
Tara and her friend Kristin became my friends and this friendship kept us in contact many years forward.
Eventhough I only rarely stayed in touch through SO ME Tara will be missed. And I am so sad to hear of her passing. Please accept my deepest and profound condolences my thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
Thank you Tara for being there for me when I needed a friend. Thank you for all our silly and funny moments in German class.
Thank you for visiting me a my hostfamily hanging out and making me feel like I belonged. Because of you, my 1 year in Utah will be something I will never forget.
    Rest in Piece
    Respectfully and Sincerely

I’m so shocked and saddened to hear of Tara’s passing, especially since it was too late for me to attend the viewing. It’s been a long time since I had her in my Mia Maid class, but I remember a sweet, tight-knit group of friends. She was a wonderful example of faith and love. My heartfelt condolences to her family!

Tara was just as genuine as they come! She made me feel welcome, always, and when I started substituting in primary she radiated gratitude in a way that always made me want to do more. She was extraordinary and lifted everyone she came in contact with. She will be so missed ❤️
