Tanner Ryan Davies was a joy to all who knew him. He lit up the room with his mischievous smile and was loved by all. He was the firstborn to Ryan and Valerie Davies. Tanner brought so much light and joy to his parents and was a great example and leader to his 3 siblings: Mackenzie, Spencer, and Jordyn. He adored them, as they did him. Not only were they all close in age, they were extremely close knit and loved hanging out together.
Tanner enjoyed fishing, soccer, basketball, and being outdoors. He loved the Lakers and Dodgers. He was always up for an adventure, whether that included skydiving, bull riding, snorkeling, cliff jumping, or longboarding. Everything was more fun with Tanner. He was friends with everyone and always made sure they felt included. He loved to live life to its fullest.
Tanner served a faithful mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Arcadia California. His love for the Gospel was deep and sharing and service were part of his everyday life.
A new love came into his life when he met Breanna Benjamin and together they embarked on a new type of adventure. They were engaged to be married in August. Tanner and Breanna were a perfect match and enjoyed spending every minute with each other.
Tanner is survived by his parents “Pops and Momma”, his fiancé Breanna, his sisters Kenzie and “George”, and his brother Spence. He has a large family who all love him and will miss him dearly.
Services will be on Friday, June 26, 2020. Public viewing will be from 10am – 11:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 381 East 400 North Spanish Fork, UT open for all to attend. Following the viewing there will be a service limited to family due to Covid restrictions. Burial will follow at around 1pm at the Spanish Fork Cemetery, again open to any who would like to attend.

The more enriched a person makes our lives, the harder it is for us to let them go. For this reason, I know that saying goodbye to Tanner will be one of the hardest sorrow to bear. I hope that the wonderful memories you have of Tanner, as well as the love and friendship you have around you, will support you through this time and help you to smile once more. I love you guys so very much.

June 26, 2020 at 6:29 pmDear Davies family,
I didn’t know your beautiful son, but I am touched by this tragedy and so incredibly saddened by your devastating loss. I found out about the accident through facebook. I came to his obituary and watched the beautiful video you made for him and just sat and cried. I have four children myself, two sons and two daughters. My oldest son (Trace) is Tanners age, and also served a mission and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. I’m sure he would remember your son. My younger son (Matthew) is 18, and also loves to fish like Tanner did. When I was watching the video you made my heart dropped when I saw the pictures of him fishing, because it reminded me of my own son. I want you to know that I will be praying for your family to get through this, and to feel Heavenly Father’s presence around you. I have no doubt that Tanner’s spirit will be with you throughout the rest of your journey here on earth. Our loved ones are so much closer than we think. Stay strong and know that total strangers feel your loss deeply, and will be praying for your strength.

June 28, 2020 at 11:39 pmDear Valerie and Ryan,
My heart goes out to you and your family. I remember holding and snuggling with little baby Tanner the Summer of 98 at Warm River. Such a sweet infant and watching his precious life in pictures he looks well loved and that he lived well.
