Steven Jack Henline Memorial Service

Steven Jack Henline passed away at his home on April 23, 2026, after a valiant fight with cancer. His strength, resilience, and quiet determination carried him through his final days, just as they had guided him throughout his life.

He was born on October 18, 1945, to Jack Henline and Clara (Fuller) Jameson. As a boy, Steve found joy along the banks of the Diamond Fork River at his grandfather’s ranch. Those memories he carried close to his heart for the rest of his life.

Steve attended school in Spanish Fork. He joined the Air Force the day he turned 17. He served for four years, spending his time stationed in the Pacific during the Vietnam War. His service instilled in him a lifelong devotion to supporting and uplifting fellow veterans; a mission that became one of his greatest passions.

Upon returning home in 1966, Steve married his school sweetheart, Judy Keele. They were married for 59 years, raising three children: Wendy, Jack, and Melayne. Steve was a man of many talents. Over the years, he built several businesses, always driven by creativity and determination. Yet, among his proudest accomplishments was his role in co-founding the nonprofit organization Hand in Hand Outdoors. With donations and the help of friends, Steve helped build a fishing boat that held five wheelchairs dedicated to bringing joy to veterans and children with disabilities. He also co-founded, alongside the Utah Elks, the Little Warriors Camp, providing comfort and support to children of Gold Star families.

A gifted storyteller, writer and passionate fisherman, Steve lived a life rich with adventure. He traveled far and wide in search of both excitement and treasure, often joking, “Lots of adventure, not so much treasure.”

In his later years, Steve discovered a deep love for creating art. His work was as unique as he was. He shared this passion at markets and events, forming lasting friendships along the way, often side by side with his beloved son Jack. His art was proudly showcased at the Covey Center.

Steve had a rare gift for bringing joy to those around him. With his humor, warmth, and quick wit, he could light up any room and make friends wherever he went. He was truly the life of the party, leaving laughter and lasting impressions in his wake.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Judy Henline; his children, Wendy Henline, Jack Henline, and Melayne (Andy) Walburger; his grandchildren, Brady Ericksen (Ashley Voss), Madisen (Slaytor) Baldwin, and Brooklyn Snow; and his great- grandchildren, Axton, Holden, and Blaire Baldwin. He is also survived by his siblings, Grant Henline (Kathy), Keli (Glen) Long, Taun Jameson, and Jonel Dudley.

The family extends their gratitude to the oncology team at Revere Health and the compassionate caregivers at Symbii Home Health and Hospice for their kindness and support.

A visitation will be held in Steve’s honor on May 8, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home located at 187 South Main St., Spanish Fork, Utah. His memorial service will immediately follow at the same location, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
