Steven Grant Aitken July 28, 1959 - March 15, 2025

Steven Grant Aitken, 65, passed away peacefully at the Hearthstone Manor on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

Steven was born on July 28, 1959, to Grant Joseph Aitken and Sandra Charlene Attryde Aitken in Payson, Utah. He was a miracle baby. At three months old, it was discovered that he had Hydrocephalus. He had surgery before he was 4 months old, but by that time, some brain damage had been done. In spite of that, he thrived.

When he was almost a year old, his family moved to Huntington Beach, CA. He loved school, and playing games. He graduated from Marina High School in Huntington Beach, California. He went on to tutor students in math at Golden West College in Huntington Beach. Steven served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Missouri/Kansas.

He moved with his parents to Spanish Fork, Utah in 1995. He worked for Deseret Meat Packing for 20 years and loved his job.

He loved to sing in the Ward Choir. He was an active church member all his life and was a High Priest at the time of his passing. He was a pure soul. He believed in always doing what is right and was valiant, loving, and unwavering in his actions.

During the last three and a half years of his life he lived at Hearthstone Manor assisted living. The family would like to give thanks to the caregivers at Hearthstone Manor for their amazing care and support. He felt welcome there and made many friends.

Steven is survived by his father, Grant, and his three siblings: Diane (Todd) Southwick, Wayne (Linda) and Brian (Andrea) and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Charlene.

A viewing will be held Friday, March 21, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 22, 2025, preceded by a viewing from 11:45-12:45. Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1158 E 1240 S, Spanish Fork. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork Cemetery.
