Sindy Lee McMillan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, in Spanish Fork, Utah. She was born on September 27, 1956, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Betty Jorgensen and Daniel Mitchell. Sindy spent her early years in American Fork, later lived in Orem, and eventually made her home in Spanish Fork, where she built a life centered on love, creativity, and family.

On June 3, 1975, Sindy married the love of her life, Fredrick McMillan, in Elko, Nevada. Together they raised a beautiful family and created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Sindy graduated from American Fork High School and continued her education at Utah Valley Community College, along with completing beauty school. She had a natural talent for creating beauty in everything she touched, whether through her work, her home, or the many handmade crafts she lovingly created.

Sindy enjoyed crafting, crochet, and needlepoint, and she poured her heart into every project. She cherished time spent with family at the cabin, where memories were made and traditions were strengthened. Holidays were especially meaningful to her—she made each one magical and unforgettable for everyone around her, ensuring that those she loved always felt special and celebrated.

She is survived by her children: Christian (Tuesdie) McMillan, Mandie Hess, Misty (Jaysen) Mott, and close friends Mike (Jana) MacDonald, and Bruce Frankham. Sindy was a proud grandmother to Jordan, Ryland, Michael, Makaydin, McKenyan, Cassey, Marlee, Makaylia, Anika, Kari, and Ava, and a loving great grandmother to eight great grandchildren, with one more on the way. She is also survived by her siblings Blake (Camille) Baxter, Bruce Baxter, Gilbert Baxter, Kathy (Rod) Thompson, Katrina Johnson, Steve Jorgensen, Mike Baxter, Dale Baxter, Dana Graham, Danny Mitchell, Charlie Bryer, and Sherrie Pungarcher.

Sindy is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Shaleen Maupin and Becky Mitchell; her brother Ricky Bryer Jr. Plumley; her son Fredrick (Farry) McMillan; and many other cherished family members and friends. She will be remembered for her warmth, her creativity, her sense of humor, and her ability to make every person feel valued. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she created, the love she shared, and the family she cherished.

I know how hard it is when it’s your Mom. I lost my Mom almost three years ago. I wanted to let you all know that I’m thinking of you all. My thoughts and my kids are thinking of you. I wish I could go but money is tight. We had several memories with your family. We are all thinking of you. If you could send me a program, that would be great, or take a picture of the program.. again I’m so sorry. Your family are inour prayers. Love you all.
