Shirley was a strong and brave person throughout her whole life. She was a diehard Oakland raiders fan with a rough exterior, but if you really got to know her you would see how kind and accepting she was of everyone. She was never judgemental and showed her love with kind words and gifts. Along with her love of the raiders she collected porcelain dolls and enjoyed displaying her collection.
Shirley worked for 20 years at Metro Group as one of their most skilled crane operators. She had the rare opportunity to work with the love of her life, Robert. They retired from Metro Group in January 2020.
Being together for 30 years Shirley loved Robert until it hurt. The only argument they had was about who loved the other the most.Their love has helped them through all the hard times, and will help them through this loss as well.
Shirley is preceded in death by her brother, James May, and son, Courtney Madsen. She is survived by her honey, Robert Fotheringham.
