Serhii Volodymyrovich Podolskyi, born on June 30, 1955, in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, was a man of many talents and virtues. He was a loving and inspiring figure, always leading by example with his humble nature and profound wisdom. Serhii was a beacon of light to all who knew him, guiding them through life’s varied paths with his unerring sense of duty and morality. Retired after a successful career as the Head Engineer of the Engineering and Tech Center, Serhii’s accomplishments were extensive and diverse. They included four copyright certificates of inventions, a Golden Medal and Red Diploma, and a prominent role in Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute’s graduate community.
Despite these accomplishments, Serhii was always humble, never seeking recognition or applause. Instead, he found joy and satisfaction in the simple pleasures of life: tinkering, solving word puzzles, reading, fishing, and collecting mushrooms. He was an avid family man whose happiest moments were spent in the company of his loved ones.
In addition to his professional achievements, Serhii was a dedicated servant in his religious community. He was a bishop of the Left Bank and Central branches in Dnepropetrovsk, a temple worker in Kiev, and the head of the Audit Committee of the Donesk District. Later, he served as a greeter in the Spanish Fork 17th Ward, always welcoming people with a warm smile and kind words. His unwavering faith and dedication to service were a testament to his character and an inspiration to all who knew him.
Serhii is survived by his wife, Tetyana Podolska; his daughters, Olga Mochalova and Vika Trapp; his sister, Natalia Podolska; his nephews, Burdiyan Vladimir, Buridyan Pavel, and Dima Buriyan; and his brother-in-law, Viktor Burdiyan. He is preceded in death by his father, Vladimir Podolskyi, and his mother, Viktoria Borshenko.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Serhii Podolskyi’s remarkable life. His legacy of love, inspiration, humility, and talent will forever be a part of those who had the privilege of knowing him. September 15, 2024 at 12:00 amOh, so many memories of time in Left Bank and Dneper.
We are so joyful to watch your dad’s influence on your children as a grandpa in the video. Such a gift to come to America and be together for this time. He will be missed. It looks like he did all that was possible. What a legacy!
