Scott Peterson Livestream Broadcast

Scott Ryan Peterson passed away peacefully at his home in Spanish Fork, Utah on June 25, 2026. Though he was taken from us far too soon, the memories of his kindness, love for his family, and quiet goodness remain.

Scott was born on February 28, 1980, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, to Steven and Sheryl Peterson. He came into the world with a lifelong best friend, his twin brother, Shane. Scott was a devoted son, a caring brother, and a fun-loving uncle. He had a wonderful sense of humor that brought laughter to family gatherings, often quoting lines from his favorite movies. He loved spending time with his family, especially camping together, yearly trips to Lake Powell, and golfing with his dad and brothers. Those rounds of golf were more than just a game—they were times filled with friendly competition, lots of laughter, and many great memories.

One of Scott’s greatest companions was his beloved dog, Yazzi. They share countless adventures together, exploring hiking trails, camping and enjoying the beauty of nature. Scott found peace in the outdoors and loved any opportunity to be surrounded by mountains, lakes, and open skies.

Scott had a great love for animals and always found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He had a quiet, gentle spirit, yet had strong convictions about things that mattered most to him. We will miss him but are grateful for the knowledge that we will be with him again.

Scott is survived by his parents, Steven and Sheryl Peterson of Mt. Pleasant, UT, and by his siblings Chris and Kat Peterson of Salem, UT, Matt and Halee Peterson of Herriman, UT, Shane and Mandy Peterson of Spanish Fork, UT, Lindsay and Calder Moseley of Herriman, UT and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerald and Nadine Staheli, and Owen and LaVee Peterson.

His funeral service will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.  at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 1006 East 200 South, Spanish Fork, Utah. A visitation will be held prior to the services at the same location from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. His burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.

Scott was a true friend with a heart of pure gold. Growing up with him and Shane in Sanpete are some of my fondest memories. Riding around in the old blazer or Scott’s white four-door sedan with the plush red interior. He has always had the best sense of humor and a calm nature that was just the best to be around. I’ll never forget when he came to visit me in Savannah one summer. He was like a fish out of water because he is such a gentle soul, but we had a fantastic time. He will be missed greatly, and I will always cherish his friendship. He is and will always be one of my most beloved friends.
