Scott Alan DeNaughel July 20, 1967 - December 22, 2025

Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Scott Alan DeNaughel, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025.

Scott was born July 20, 1967, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Kyle Wilford and Rozalys Jensen DeNaughel. He was the youngest of two boys.  At the age of two, he and his family moved to Roy, Utah, where he lived most of his life.

Growing up, Scott and his family enjoyed many activities together, especially summer camping trips, visiting extended family and going to Bear Lake.

He was athletic and loved playing all sports with his brother and friends. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and earned his Eagle Scout award.

Scott attended Roy High School, where he graduated in 1985. He graduated from The University of Phoenix.  He worked for Smith’s and Kroger most of his life, primarily in Human Resources.

Scott enjoyed traveling, golfing, and fishing. He loved watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was fun, thoughtful, and funny.

Scott is survived by his three children Amber (Jay) of Syracuse, Darin (Sara) of Plain City, and Olivia (Dax) of Saratoga Springs; his brother Jeff (Sheryl) of Salem; three grandchildren Hudson, Dawson, and Tatum; and three nieces Brooke, Sarah, and Emily and one nephew Joshua.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will be honoring Scott and celebrating his life in a private memorial. In lieu of flowers, please hold your loved ones close and tell them how much you love them.
