Rowane Good Marks passed away on December 26th, 2021. Rowane was born on August 22nd, 1936 in Springville, UT, to Leroy Kirk Good and Beatrice Ireta Underwood. She grew up in Thistle, Utah, surrounded by many close family and friends. She attended schools in Spanish Fork, Utah, and graduated from Spanish Fork High School as part of the graduating class of 1954.
Rowane met the love of her life, Earl Dean Marks, while she was working at the Skyline Motel near Sheep Creek, Utah. They married shortly after in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 7th, 1955. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti, Utah Temple on August 18th, 1970. Together, Rowane and Earl had 3 children: Gary Dean, Pamela, and Randy Errol.
Rowane and Earl resided in Spanish Fork, Utah, the majority of their lives, taking a few years to travel after Earl’s retirement, and finally settling down for their retirement years in Washington, UT.
Rowane put her sewing skills to use as a seamstress at Fritzi Clothing Manufacturers, in Spanish Fork, Utah, for many years. She also spent time as a lunch worker in the Spanish Fork Junior High School. When Earl was finally able to retire in 1997, they were able to fulfill their lifelong dream of traveling the United States in their trailer. They sold their house and off they went with their trailer in tow. At the time, they had many friends that loved to travel as well. They would meet up with them on their own vacations as well as traveling with a group of friends called the “Rolling Stone Pioneers”. They were able to see 48 states prior to finally putting down roots again and retiring in Washington, Utah. During that time, they were also blessed with opportunities to be camp hosts at some of their favorite campgrounds such as Yellowstone National Park. They loved to travel and were blessed to do so for many years.
Rowane loved to bake, craft, sew, make jewelry, and watch her family grow. She also loved to spend time with her family and friends. She would spend countless hours planning and creating all the gifts she would lovingly give everyone. Rowane will be remembered by many for her unparalleled baking and sewing skills along with her amazing Christmas treats we all waited for each year.
Rowane is survived by her sister, Patsy Good Baldwin; and sons, Gary Marks and Randy Marks; as well as her 8 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Ireta Good; her husband, Earl Dean Marks; her daughter, Pamela Bryan; her son-in-law, Larry Phillips; and her brother-in-law, Bernett Baldwin; as well as many other close family and friends.
The last few years, Rowane needed a little extra care due to her declining health. She spent her final year at Beehive Homes in Santaquin, Utah. We would like to thank them and all their workers that took great care of her, as well as her PA, Holly, and her home health nurse, Logan. We would have been lost without you all. Thank you all from the bottom of our family’s hearts for taking such good care of her.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. located at Walker Funeral Home 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660. Family and friends may attend a visitation prior to services from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Salem City Cemetery.

December 30, 2021 at 3:40 pmRowane, you will be missed. She was more like a sister than a cousin. We kept in touch when she and Earl lived in Washington and us in Beaver Dam. As years have gone by and time has passed, it seems we don’t get around as often as we should. She has always been a favorite person in my life. Along with Earl. Rest in peace and enjoy your reunion with your sweetheart and mom. Love you
