RoseAnn Stretesky Heath May 9, 1934 - April 23, 2022

RoseAnn (Stretesky) Heath returned to her heavenly home on April 23, 2022, two weeks short of her 88th  birthday. She had been a widow for 2 years and missed her sweetheart Chet every day. They are together once again.

Born May 9, 1934, in Tipton, Oklahoma, where she was raised on her parents farm. She attended Tipton High School, class of 53’ and one year at the University of Oklahoma where she enjoyed being in a band and playing clarinet. Her grandparents immigrated from Czechoslovakia. She was full Czech and very proud of her heritage. She traveled several times to the Czech Republic to visit relatives and enjoyed sharing traditional Czech food with her family.

In 1953, she married Bobby Dewayne Hurst and later divorced in 1975. They had two daughters, Caron DeAnn and Colleen Denise.

She was a talented artist who sculpted in wood, stone, clay, and painted with oils. Her work was shown at galleries in Laguna Beach where she also volunteered for the Laguna Beach Opera League, Laguna Beach Festival of Arts and League of Women Voters. She was also a graphic artist and her most renowned work was drawing princesses requested by her daughters.

In 1975, she went to Saddleback College and graduated with a Registered Nurse degree. She worked at Mission Hospital taking care of new mothers and their babies. She was loved by her patients and the staff and was honored as Employee of the year in 1988.

On February 19, 1977, she married the love of her life, Chet Heath, who had two sons, Dan and Ted. Chet and RoseAnn were sealed for eternity in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple, January 23, 1999. Their love only strengthened with each passing year and would be an example for many of what true love really is. They spent many of their married years traveling, volunteering at the family history center, and spending time with their children, grandchildren, and beloved pets. They still held hands whenever they were side by side.

RoseAnn loved gardening, especially flowers. She built a sunroom, so she had a garden year round. Always an artist, her home was beautifully decorated and full of love! She was an excellent seamstress and a wonderful cook.

Most of all, she was considered an angel here on earth by many who knew her. She never had an unkind word for anyone. She was always thinking of others before herself. She was kind and gentle. She loved Jesus Christ and followed him in word and deed.

RoseAnn is survived by her loving family, including brothers, Frankie and Tony; sister, Helenka; daughters, DeAnn and Colleen; grandchildren, Nikki, Trista, Tara, Brittney, Lauren, Dylan, Joseph, Rex, Sam, Andy, Ty, and her 15 great grandchildren.

Family and friends may attend a Celebration of Life Open House on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. located at 1887 Redbarn Rd., Springville, Utah.
