Roman Oropeza passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021 surrounded by love. Roman was born in Colima, Mexico on August 2, 1985 to Martin Oropeza and Maria Garcia. He attended Provo High and graduated from Independence High in 2004. On July 22, 2007, he married his high school sweetheart, Anjalica Rose Swan in Provo, Utah. They have four beautiful children: Roman Jr. (16), Honey (15), Jaden(13), and Ila (7).
For the past 13 years Roman has worked for McWane Ductile. He was known for his dedication and hard work at the foundry. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He had a passion for soccer, and also loved camping, fishing and anything outdoor as long as it was with his family. However, Roman did not always like going on all the hikes Anjalica dragged him on! His guilty pleasure was gambling always promising he was going to win big and most times doing just that! The best games were his poker nights with the boys. Roman was known for his infectious smile, contagious laughter and happy laid back nature. He was a family man through and through and they were the most important people in his life. Roman loved watching his children succeed in school and athletics. He wanted to show his wife the world, and he did as much as he could before his time got cut too short. He is greatly loved and missed by all his family and friends. While those left behind are grieving they take comfort in the fact that Roman was able to help his Mother in-law (Valerie Swan) enter into eternity.
Roman is survived by his parents, Martin and Maria Oropeza, two brothers, Ivan (Johanna) and Cuauhtemoc Oropeza, and a sister, Lorena (Javier). He is also survived by his loving wife Anjalica Oropeza and their four kids Roman Jr., Honey, Jaden and Ila. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
