Roger Leroy Burrows September 17, 1935 - September 23, 2023

Roger Leroy Burrows, age 88, returned home peacefully to his heavenly home on September 23, 2023.

Roger was born September 17, 1935, to Charles William and Elizabeth Berdie Bohannan Burrows in Corona, California. He was raised on a California dairy farm and continued in the dairy business into adulthood.

Roger married his sweetheart, Darlene Virginia Carothers-Flack, on June 15, 1956, being sealed for all eternity in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Los Angeles Temple. He and Darlene have three children and raised them in the dairy business.

Roger is a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings over the years, including being a branch president of a Young Adult Ward. He was called as a Seventy on January 25, 1970, and was ordained a High Priest. He loved serving in the Provo and Payson Temples, which he did for many years.

He is survived by his beloved wife Darlene, children Denise Hafliger, Jodi (Tom) Nunley, and Reid (Katherine) Burrows, 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was a kind and generous man who was always willing to help family, friends, and neighbors. He has returned home with honor.

A funeral service will be held Friday, September 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 952 West 1580 South in Payson, Utah. Visitation will be prior from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, Payson, Utah.
