Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Roger D Knotts returned to the arms of his Heavenly Father on May 3rd, 2026.
Roger was born on May 9th, 1939, in Spanish Fork, Utah to Donald Joseph and Enid Irene Bean Knotts. Roger enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities while growing up. He fished, hunted, and worked on his cars; he was a rodeo cowboy who rode bulls and bareback bucking horses. He was one of the rodeo clowns in many city celebrations. He was an avid Trap Shooter, Golfer, and Fisherman always enjoying the outdoors.
Roger was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Roger graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1957. He attended and graduated from the Utah Trade School.
After high school, Roger married Delores Craig on April 8,1960. During their union, they welcomed five children, Tracy, Kevin, Bryan, Christine, & Brady. Roger and Delores lived in Spanish Fork, Washington and Elk Ridge Utah. Roger’s first job was with the Knotts Foundry, a family business. In that time, he was recognized as one of the best sand-casting molders in the state. Roger ran the Cox Foundry in Provo for several years. He finished his career working in the Foundry Supply business until he retired in 2023.
Roger was a founding member of the Spanish Fork Gun Club and was an excellent shot receiving many awards in his name. Roger had his pilot’s license and was a member of a Spanish Fork flying club, Roger loved golf, he and Delores spent endless hours together with friends playing in tournaments. He thoroughly enjoyed these special times together golfing with lifelong friends. When Roger was not golfing, you could find him on Strawberry or Minersville Reservoir fly fishing with family and friends. “Grandpa Roger” will be dearly missed by his family, especially his loving grandchildren.
Roger lived a full and exciting life and had a positive impact on all those who knew him and his love, wisdom, and humor will be sorely missed. May his extraordinary example be remembered and his footsteps followed until they lead us back to where we may meet again.
Roger is survived by his wife Delores, children Tracy (Perry) Frazier, Kevin (Shellie) Knotts, Christine (Brian) Gabbitas, Brady (Aura) Knotts, and Daughter-in-law Lea Knotts. He is survived by 21 grandchildren, 28 Great grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Margie Clements.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Don and Enid Knotts; his son Bryan Knotts; his brother Doug Knotts; sisters Annette Beardall and Pam Forsgren, and a granddaughter, Sariah Knotts.

May 12, 2026 at 5:49 pmHi Dolores, I think Banks I’m so sorry. I’ve been in the hospital since April. I’ve had some lung issues sorry but I’m sorry I missed Rogers passing. He was a dear friend. I loved him so we had some good times together he’ll be missed I know, but you have my sweet condolences cause I truly like Roger. I can save it. He was a good friend when we when we were together and I appreciate it. He was a smart guy. That’s what I appreciated about his intelligence. He was so smart.
