Robert Leifson Bearnson, devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away on September 2, 2021 in St. George, Utah. Robert was born June 15, 1929 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Robert Ingersol Bearnson and Dorothy Leifson Bearnson. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1945.
He married Beverly Hanks on June 1, 1949 in Spanish Fork, Utah. They were later sealed in the Manti Utah Temple. He is the father of three children, Gary, Brad, and Brenda, grandfather to six and great-grandfather to fourteen. His family was his treasure and his highest priority. He loved deeply and was loved deeply. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His greatest success was his family.
He is survived by his children, Brad H. Bearnson (Logan) and Brenda Fage (St. George). He had six grandchildren: Kasie, Sara, Braden, Taya, Tessa and Alex. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly; son, Gary Robert Bearnson; his parents, Robert and Dorothy Bearnson; brother, Richard; and sister, JoAnn Roberts.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main St, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may visit on Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery, will follow funeral service.
