Robert George Christensen, 87, passed away on March 20, 2026. He was born on January 17, 1939, in Spanish Fork, Utah to William Christensen and Thelma Elizabeth Francis. He spent much of his life in Spanish Fork.
Robert graduated from Spanish Fork High School and went on to earn a two-year degree from Utah Technical College. He worked for several years with the Bureau of Reclamation as an Engineering Technician.
On May 15, 1959, Robert married Marcia Mae Muhlestein, in Spanish Fork. They were later sealed in the Provo LDS Temple. Together they had three sons and one daughter, Marc, Patrice, David and Jon.
He enjoyed taking care of his yard and restoring old cars. He also loved woodworking and spent many years making wood cars that he would give away to children around the world. He had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping trips with his sons.
Robert served faithfully in various church callings throughout his life. The one that he enjoyed the most was being a home teacher. He rarely missed a visit and enjoyed the lasting relationships he had formed with each of the families he visited. He never missed an opportunity to help out a neighbor that was in need.
Robert is survived by his wife, Marcia Mae Christensen, and their children, Marc (Patricia), Patrice (Brad), David (Lisa), and Jon (Tricia), all of Spanish Fork, 15 grand children, 17 great-grandchildren with two on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Max, Reid, Keith, and his sister Joan Hair.
A viewing will take place for family and friends at Walker Mortuary located at 187 South Main St., Spanish Fork, Utah on Thursday, March 26, from 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow for family members at Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
