Richard Sachio Uyehara July 31, 1937 - June 11, 2023

We are very sad to announce the passing of Richard Sachio Uyehara at the age of 85 on June 11, 2023.

Richard was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 31, 1937 to Kotaro & Yukiko Uyehara. He was a loving husband to Danielle Uyehara, married April 11, 1960.

He was a great and loving father to his children Philippe Uyehara, Teri Dee Koller and Leslie Eddlemon. He was a very proud grandfather to Shannon, Kayla, Dylan, Warren, Shawn, McKenzie & Sammy and a great-grandfather to Audrey, Sonny, Story & Bowie.

He was very intelligent, working as a software programmer at IBM. His hobbies included fishing, golfing, woodworking (making rocking horses for his grandchildren), cooking and gardening. He also had a lot of knowledge with cars, machines, plumbing, too much to list.. Most of all, FAMILY was very important to him. We thank him for all his knowledge he shared with us and especially teaching us how important family is.

He will be greatly missed, but all of our memories of him will live on through all who he touched.
