Richard J Robbins July 24, 1941 - May 5, 2024

Richard J Robbins, age 82, died on May 5, 2024, in Nephi, Utah. He was married to Charlene Peck Johnson for several years, divorced and married and later divorced Callie Pake Higbee.

He was a veteran having served honorably in the Army in the late 1950’s to the early 1960’s. He received both the Army of Occupation (Berlin) and the Armed Forces Expeditionary medals during his service.

Richard loved sports of all kinds. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, golf, tennis and especially baseball.  He was a pitcher for the Army during his service and loved to tell stories about, and teach all his family members, and anyone else who wanted to learn, how to play baseball.  He often spoke about playing ball in Germany and New York and other U.S. cities for the Army. 

He is survived by his son Richard (Sheryl) Robbins; three grandchildren, Micah (Kylie) Robbins, Ashley (Nephi) Hepworth, and Brandon Robbins (Jessie Aldrete), and six great-grandchildren, Katie, Oliver, Joseph, Afton, David and Sarah; his sister-in-law, Diane Robbins; his sister, Nada (Myrlin) Farnsworth; his brothers, Curtis (Geri) Robbins and Donald (Julie) Robbins. 

He was proceeded in death by his children Ricene and Gregory; parents, LeBaron and Helen; his brothers, Clyde and Tommy; and his sister Brenda.  

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 12:00 p.m. on May 11, 2024, at Santaquin Cemetery located at 100 East 300 South in Santaquin, Utah. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah.
