Renate Luise Martin passed on April 5, 2021 at the age of 80 years old. She was born on June 14, 1940 in Worms, West Germany to Joseph Golz and Elsa Haussel.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Payson City Cemetery.

She welcomed us to Payson years and years ago, and has been such a good neighbor and friend, we considered her family. With a stubborn german streak, born of not only her ancestry, but of her incredible resilience developed through a lifetime of overcoming struggles through multiple wars, in many countries, and through many careers, she loved fiercely and was independent to the last. She had so much talent in so many areas. I have known few people who had such a strong faith in God, His Power, and His love for her and others. She had a very strong sense of right and wrong, and was like a grandmother to our family. She told us so many times how proud she was of family, and of being a grandmother and great grandmother. We love and miss her and look forward to seeing her again in God’s good time. We wish her family peace and God’s comfort in their time of sorrow, and know that we sorrow with you.
