Ranjeet Kaur was born April 18, 1945, in undivided India, the oldest of seven children.
She married Rajendra Chowdhry in 1974 and they have three children.
She had a very sharp and practical mind. She found many ways to help support her young family while living in India. She was a talented seamstress and would tailor women’s salwar suits. She would also make homemade pickles and jam to sell.
In 2003 Ranjeet along with her husband and her two younger children immigrated to the United States.
As her eyesight declined, she was no longer able to do many of the things she enjoyed. She enjoyed listening to YouTube videos and we suspect this is when her creativity grew in finding a use for everything so nothing would go to waste. She took this creativity to gardening techniques as well which weren’t always successful, but she kept trying.
Ranjeet was always thankful for extended family’s support. Her children Happy, Ginny, Lucky, their spouses and grandchildren will miss her physical presence, but we know she is not truly gone.
