Randy Lee Dodds, 68, of Payson, Utah peacefully passed away on August 29th, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.
Randy was born on September 27th, 1954 to Ervin and Helen Dodds in the city of Payson. After Randy graduated from Payson High in 1972, he joined the Army.
After returning home, Randy worked a few different jobs in different industries, but working for Liberty Press starting in 2001, was where he later retired from.
In 1989, Randy met Sherrie (Orton) at a singles dance in Pleasant Grove. Randy & Sherrie adopted their daughter McKayla, in 1998. They were there for the birth and Randy’s greatest joy was getting to see his little girl born.
Randy was an avid Disney lover and shared that joy with his family. He was also a lover of classic cars and still owns his 1988 Chevy Pickup. After retiring in 2022, he spent his time at home with his wife, and welcomed a granddaughter in April 2023.
Randy was predeceased by his parents, Ervin and Helen Dodds, his brother Darrell Scott Dodds, his Mother and Father In Law Arnold and Dianne Orton, and grandson Oliver Merle Bryson. He is survived by his wife Sherrie, daughter McKayla (David) Bryson, sister Marie (Rex) Young, brothers James (Cindy) Dodds, Dennis (Faye) Dodds, David (Laurie) Dodds, Allen (Kathy) Dodds, Mike Dodds, Sister in-laws, nieces and nephews and granddaughter Ivy Luna Bryson.
No funeral will be held, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
