Perry Lloyd Bingham, 62 years old, joined his parents, brother, and daughter, as well as numerous other relatives, friends, and pets in the spirit world early in the morning on January 10th, 2019 after passing away in the Neuro Shock Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah. Perry suffered for many decades with diabetes, hypertension, numerous strokes, heart attacks, congestive heart failure, and other maladies that brought him to the edge of death and back, again and again.
Perry was born on June 10, 1956, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was the third son born to Gordon and Donna Bingham. His little brother joined the family ten years later. Perry started school in Idaho Falls, and moved with the family to various other locations in Illinois, Puerto Rico, Massachusetts, and Washington. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Anaheim, California, and Seville, Spain. He attended Ricks College and Brigham Young University. In 1979 he married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Bingham, in the Idaho Falls temple. He held various callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including gospel doctrine teacher, ward organist, Elder’s Quorum teacher, and Sunday School teacher. He was loved for his humor, creativity, and light-hearted spirit.
Perry was an amazing and talented musician. He could come up with tunes out of thin air. He loved playing the piano and his dream was to have his own recording studio someday. He realized his dream when technology caught up with his passion; and enjoyed years of creating music in his basement, with the help of his Apple computer, lots of music software, and a Kurzweil keyboard.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie, daughters, Jacqui and Jody (Preston), four beloved grandchildren, and his brothers Ken (Cynthia), and Spence (Cynthia). He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Greg, and his daughter Jamie.
There will be a funeral at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 17th, at the LDS Chapel located at 1552 East 750 South in Spanish Fork. There will be no viewing. However, there will be a little time before and after the services for greeting friends and family.
