Peggy Ann Warner Draper March 3, 1952 - May 2, 2023

Peggy Ann Warner Draper, our dear mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on May 2, 2023 in West Jordan, UT following several months of declining health.

She was born on March 3, 1952 in Salt Lake City, UT to Ray Donald Warner and Myrl Gardner Warner. She graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1970 and later attended the Utah Technical College of Provo (now Utah Valley University), earning a certificate of completion as a clerk typist in 1972.

During college Peggy met Howard Matthews Draper and they were sealed on March 9, 1979 in the Salt Lake City temple and eventually settled in West Jordan, UT. They had two sons, Adam Tyler Draper and Blake Warner Draper. Peggy and Howard later divorced in 2002 but remained friends.

Peggy was very social and could start a conversation with anybody.  She was genuinely accepting of others and loved by many dear friends.  Some of Peggy’s interests included listening to music, reading (which she passed on to her sons), and doing jigsaw puzzles. She was well known for her love of M&M’s candy and E.L. Fudge Cookies. She was a longtime Utah Jazz fan and watched games as often as she could. For years she participated in a book club and a dinner group. She enjoyed traveling and went on several trips with family and friends.

Peggy was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in multiple church callings over the years. She especially enjoyed caring for the younger children while serving in the nursery.

Peggy worked as an usher at the Jordan Commons Megaplex movie theater for 16 years. She enjoyed her work and frequently recounted stories of interesting guests she met over the years. She was the proud owner of a purple Megaplex jacket that she frequently wore in cool weather.

In the last years of her life Peggy lived at Sunridge Assisted Living, where she made many friends among the residents and staff. She often would provide her family with the latest gossip and happenings from Sunridge. The family would like to thank the Sunridge residents and staff for their friendship to and care of Peggy.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Ray Donald Warner and Myrl Gardner Warner and her siblings Ray Jr. and Barbara. She is survived by her children Adam Draper and Blake (Michelle) Draper, her grandchildren Garrett, Cameron, and Autumn Draper; her siblings Kermit “Kim” (Jayne) Warner, Randy (Winnie) Warner, Vicki (Randall) Bradford, Roger (Mary Lou) Warner, and Mark (Becky) Warner.
