Paula Dee, well-beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025 after a 10-year fight against cancer.
Born February 24, 1951, Paula was the youngest child of Harold Raymond Losser and Leta May Woffinden. She was raised in Leland Utah and attended school in Spanish Fork Utah. In high school she participated in student government and theater.
She attended BYU for 2 years with plans to become a teacher. During this time, she entered and was crowned the 1969 Miss Desert Blossom, catching the attention of her lifelong sweetheart and teammate Steven G. Stewart. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 20, 1971 and he made her life so good for 54 years.
In 1973 Paula and Steve moved to California where they lived for 7 years. Their next move brought their young family to Bountiful Utah, where they made many cherished friends and memories.
After her children were grown, Paula worked for Mark Blaisdell’s dental office for 12 years. “It was the best.”
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and has fond memories of her time serving in Relief Society, Primary, and Cub Scouts.
Paula loved to gather the family for Sunday dinners, holidays and birthdays. The joy of her life was raising five wonderful children. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She loved telling them stories and reading to them from her library of children’s books. “Sweetie Grandma” loved to spoil her grandchildren sweet with all their favorite things.
Paula was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Gary Losser and sisters Linda Dayton and Kristin Hansen. She is survived by her husband Steve, sister Jo Ann Hansen, sister-in-law Pat Losser, and her children Kristi (Kris) Parker, Ryan (Laura) Stewart, Seth (Susan) Stewart, Scharee
(Ryan) Bergstrom, and Spencer (Cara) Stewart.
Friends and loved ones are invited to attend a viewing on Saturday July 12, 2025 at 9:00am at the Foothill Ward building at 4275 South Bountiful Blvd Bountiful UT 84010, followed by the funeral service at 10:30am.
Interment will take place at the Benjamin Cemetery 8042 S 3200 W Spanish Fork, UT 84660 at 2:30 following the funeral and a luncheon.
