Patsy “Pat” Huff May 17, 1944 - March 5, 2025

Patsy B. Huff passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on March 5, 2025, in Payson Utah. She was born on May 17, 1944, in Payson, Utah to Ella Ferne Cowan and Wayne William Benson. Some of her fondest memories were growing up in Spring Lake with her brother and three sisters, despite losing her mother at the tender age of eight years old. Pat enjoyed attending Spring Lake Elementary School before moving on to schools in Payson, Orem, and graduating from Payson High School.

Pat met Ross Huff in Payson, and they were married one year later in Las Vegas Nevada at the Wee Kirk o’ the Heather wedding chapel. She and Ross recently celebrated sixty years of marriage. They were blessed with a son, Rhett Huff.

Pat started her work in healthcare at Daneville Services where she truly loved caring for people with disabilities. Pat was also very proud to have opened the first level II assisted living facility in Utah County, Mountain Air Assisted Living Facility in Payson, she put her whole heart into caring for residents and their families for over 15 years.

Pat was an avid sports fan in both watching and participating, she loved racquetball, softball, bowling, and coaching the girls’ softball team, the Blue Jays, but her greatest joy was her family and most importantly her three grandkids, from the early years of snuggling up and watching cartoons to trips to Disneyland, they brought her so much joy. She was also a proud member of the Payson Lions Club where she served alongside her husband Ross, her son Rhett, and daughter-in-law Jennifer.

Pat is survived by her husband Ross Huff, her son Rhett (Jennifer) Huff, grandchildren Sierra Huff, Rylan Huff, and Trevyn Huff. She is proceeded in death by her parents and grandparents, four siblings Utahna Mitchell, Glen Benson, Lola Hall, and Kaye Beddoes.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah.

The family would like to give special thanks to Kory, Kelly, and Kimberly from Utah Home Health and Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for Pat.

I worked for Pat at Mountain Air Assisted Living. She was great with all her residents. and she enjoyed what she did. I have worked at different places and she was the best if a resident was in the hospital or passed on she was always there for them. As a person she was very forgiving. Never judgemental and would always keep your confidences. She was a great cook . She made a cookbook with alot of great recipes which I still use alot of recipes to this day. She also had a excellent work ethic. My sympathy goes out to her family. Sincerely Jackie Huff
