Neil LaMonte Bergstrom was a loved father, son, and brother during his 78 years of life. He left us on Sunday, April 10, 2022.
Neil was born in Turner Valley, Alberta, Canada, on October 12, 1943, to Berniece and Willis Bergstrom. Neil was known for his wit and love for his family. He was also known around town for his willingness to help fix a car, coach a team, umpire a game, move a family, and more. He spent afternoons and weekends at the ballpark, and evenings at the racetrack. He was an automotive expert for most of his life, and most recently a friend and Bus Paraprofessional for Academy School District 20 on a special needs bus, which he loved.
Neil is survived by his 4 children: Lisa Terry of Lompoc, CA; Chris Bergstrom, of Mona, UT; Chuck Bergstrom and wife, Brenda, of Lehi, UT; and Jason Bergstrom and wife, Monica, of Salem, UT. He leaves behind 16 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Walter Bergstrom and wife, Laura, of Littleton, CO and ex-wife, Vikki Pesci of Pleasant Grove, UT. Neil also leaves behind many other family members and friends.
Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meetinghouse at 220 Woodland Hills Drive, Woodland Hills, Utah, on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements being made by Walker Funeral Home in Spanish Fork, UT.
