Nancy Sue Stratford Brown passed from this life peacefully at the age of 89, joining her beloved husband and sons, on July 2, 2025 in Spanish Fork, Utah. A California native, she lived her life in San Bernardino and Grand Terrace, where she raised her family. In 2006, she and her husband, Bill, relocated to Spanish Fork, Utah, where she spent the remainder of her years surrounded by family and friends.
Born to Virginia Lee French and Theron Jack Stratford on June 25, 1936, Nancy loved her childhood as the only girl with two doting brothers, Jerry and Jack. She married the love of her life, William Alan Brown, in 1958 and was blessed with four children, Lisa, Russell, Kenneth and Jeana.
Family and friends were Nancy’s life. She loved to serve them, spend time with them, always welcoming them into her home and her heart. She loved dogs, gardening, crafting, painting, and sewing. It brought her joy to make quilts for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a do-it-yourselfer and could fix just about anything, with her motto being, “Waste not, want not.” She loved get-togethers and hosting parties and barbeques. It was a rare occasion when Nancy was not up for a game of Rummikub (which she usually won), and a bowl of ice cream with visitors. Her trademark goodbye was, “I love you more.” An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many callings throughout her life, from Relief Society president to Cub Scout den leader, to Food Storage guru.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, her sweetheart, Bill, in 2007 and her sons Russell (Donna) in 1995 and Kenneth (Marybeth) in 2018. She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa and Jeana (Mike), 24 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 9:45 to 10:45 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1552 E 750 S, Spanish Fork, Utah. Internment will take place following the funeral at the Spanish Fork Cemetery, located at 420 S 400 E, Spanish Fork, followed by a family luncheon back at the church.
