Our kind, selfless, loving and gentle father, son, brother and friend passed away far too soon on Thursday, June 17th at LDS Hospital, he was 57 years young. Michael Velyn McClellan, affectionally known as Mike, was born on October 26, 1963 to his loving parents; Velyn (Tobe) McClellan and Donna Lou Christensen McClellan. Mike was the luckiest boy alive, the baby of the family and the only boy. He was adored by his 4 sisters; Valorie, Kerry, Debra and Nan. From the time Mike was born he was the true definition of a boy. Always outside in a pile of dirt, up a tree or playing ball. His love for sports followed Mike throughout his life in wrestling, football and baseball to name a few.
Mike attended Spanish Fork High School, graduating in 1982. He played football and baseball and was proud to be a Spanish Fork Don. He attended Snow College after graduation as well as Utah State.
In 1989 Mike met Lori Ann Kruitmoes, they were married on June 22, 1990. Together they had 4 wonderful children; Haylee, Hayden, Mason and Avery. Mike and Lori later divorced but have remained great friends and loving parents.
Mike was a dedicated father; his children were his entire world. He could be found at any and all sporting events as well as all dance events. His love for his children ran deep, pure and without limits.
Mike had a great love for the outdoors, cool mountain air and the roar of an ATV engine. He shared his love for the outdoors with his children spending countless weekends in Fillmore with his kids and dad. These were the cherished days Mike loved to reminisce about.
Mike was passionate about his profession, making sure to instill in his children the same work ethic his dad instilled in him. He spent most of his career in the production purchasing field. At the time of his passing, he was employed with Innovated Labs as senior director of procurement. Innovated Labs was not just his work place they were his family. He enjoyed many business trips abroad to Tahiti, China, Holland, Amsterdam and Mexico as well as all over the United States.
If you knew Mike you were a lifelong friend!
Mike is survived by his children; Haylee, Hayden, Mason and Avery, their mother and his close friend Lori McClellan. His father; Velyn (Tobe) McClellan. Sisters; Valorie (George) Beardall, Kerry (David) Diamond, Debra (Scott) Fulmore and Nan (Bart) Davis. He was preceded in death by his mother; Donna Lou, brother-in-law David and his grandparents; Alden and Nelda Christensen and Ernest and Fannie McClellan.
We love you to the moon and back, forever and always. Never forget us because you will always be in our hearts.

June 23, 2021 at 3:35 pmMike was not just a good friend. He was like my little brother. His love and devotion to his family are an example to us all. He would do anything for his children. Mike and I had some long and deep conversations about spiritual matters. He was a deep and thoughtful thinker. I was privileged to travel with him. He was so much fun and made me laugh with some of his one liners. I Love you Mike. My heart hurts realizing the hole left by your graduation from this life.
