Melba Juanita McCloud August 24, 1936 - June 8, 2026

With a smile that lit up a room and a heart full of love, Melba Juanita McCloud left this world behind on June 8, 2026, starting her new adventure in a place where love and joy knows no bounds.

She was born August 24, 1936, in Keota, Oklahoma. At the age of three where she and her Father, Sass Greer, Mother, Pearly Bell and two siblings, Joanne and Laban, drove cross country to start a new adventure in Shafter California, They picked cotton and worked in potato sheds and attended school.

Melba, a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and was as thoughtful as she was humble and greeted each day with the same grace and strength that defined her life. Melba was a resident of Payson Utah since 1969; she was a homemaker for many years until she embarked on her new career as a housekeeper at Mountain View Hospital in Payson for 15 years. She held her position in high esteem and would often say, “she might only be the housekeeper, but she was the best housekeeper that the Hospital has ever employed. This career was more than just a job – it was a source of passion and connection, bringing her close to many friends and kindred spirits.

Her dedication was seen not only in her professional life but equaled only by her passion for family and the warmth of her kitchen, where she lovingly prepared meals that nourish both body and soul. Our mother truly believed that the best moments in life were the ones spent with loved ones around the kitchen table. Another passion that defined Miss Melba was her love for Jesus Christ. If you spent any time with her, you would hear about the “Goodness of God” and how faithful He has been to her as a comfort and solace through life’ s most difficult moments.

Melba was preceded in death by her dear parents, and three of her beloved children: Norval Helm, Ridgecrest, California, Cherly Blackett, Spanish Fork, Utah, and Jeannette McCloud, Santaquin Utah.

Her legacy of love and memories will continue to live on through her daughters Debra Dolce of Hesperia, California, Angela Deller of West Jordan, Utah, and Charlotte Gregerson of Payson, Utah. She also left behind 27 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
